Product design methodologies in the medical field: incorporation of end-users’ specificities.
Abstract
My research activities focus on product design methodologies in the field of disability and health in general. Theoretical concepts such as User Centered Design, the Scenarios Based Design, Participatory Design and Action Research are tools which allow to build experiments and to generate concepts. Product developments with therapists and physicians along with designs and manufacturing products for people with disabilities will be presented. These experiments allow me to propose design methods incorporating end-users specificities in the design process.
